Disney Vacation Club has released new restrictions on resales of their properties which will take effect on January 19, 2019. The restriction essentially means that if you purchase a contract on the resale market after this date, you will not be eligible to exchange your points at any new resorts built by Disney unless you use a third-party exchange company such as RCI. You can, however, still trade your points for stays at the original 14 resorts, including Aulani, Boardwalk Villas and Bay Lake Tower. Those who purchase future resorts on the resale market, such as the Riviera, will not be able to exchange their points for any other resort except through third-party exchanges like RCI.
This week I took a field trip with my "work husband" and signed up for a Disney Vacation Club timeshare presentation tour. DVC (as the savants call it) has become quite the game changer! From their no-pressure sales tactics, to their unique take on a points based membership, they have revolutionized the timeshare industry for today's family vacationers. I may have just went on the tour out of curiosity, but to be honest they really spell it out in a way that makes owning a DVC timeshare a no-brainer.

This Sunday marks 15 years since The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge opened as the fifth Disney Vacation Club resort. Its success as a unique vacation experience is evident from expansion plans and rising resale prices.
No need to abandon your diet or be concerned about food allergies while on a magical Disney vacation. Due to recent changes at the resorts and at the theme parks, there are now plenty of delicious, allergy-free options available for guests of all ages. With so many people in the world today on special or restricted diets (low fat, gluten-free, sugar-free, vegetarian, vegan, kosher, lactose intolerant, nut, and shellfish allergies, just to name a few), the folks at Disney certainly stepped up to the plate by now offering a multitude of dining options to satisfy just about every possible dietary requirement. With careful planning and attention to menu selections, you will easily be able to find flavorful, healthy, and safe food choices available throughout all of the Walt Disney World parks.
Every day at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you can step back in time and experience a traditional British-style afternoon tea.
Escape to the serene setting of the Garden View Lounge and treat yourself to the tea experience daily from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Located on the first floor of the lobby of this Disney Vacation Club resort, afternoon tea is the perfect getaway for a Mother/Daughter Date, a Girl's Day Out, a relaxing respite for couples, or a personal break from the hustle and bustle of being at the Disney parks all day. To add to the ambiance, each day at 3 p.m., live music starts to drift throughout the tea room provided by a professional piano performer or the delightfully-distinguished Disney Band.
Since the summer of 2014, rumors have been swirling about the expansion of Disney's Wilderness Lodge! For quite some time now, there has been mention of turning the well-established Wilderness Lodge hotel rooms into DVC villas. Last week on May 15th, Disney filed a permit with South Florida Water Management District which confirmed that Disney is moving ahead with their plans for waterside vacation villas at the Wilderness Lodge!
