Who Needs to Know I Have Dietary Needs?
When making reservations at any of the Disney table-service restaurants, giving as much notice as possible of your dietary needs is the best idea. However, you can also just let the host or hostess at the restaurant know that you will require some extra food preparation when you arrive is perfectly fine as well. Just make sure to provide the restaurant staff with any food allergy information and reconfirm the details upon arrival at the dining location. When attending one of Disney's bountiful buffets, ask to speak with the manager to determine appropriate menu choices based upon your needs. If you choose to dine at Victoria & Albert's in the DVC resort, The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you'll be able to create a fabulous, personalized meal which is unique to your particular dietary restrictions. Kosher meals are also available at Disney World with a 48-hour notice at select table-service locations. Guests with special intolerance or allergies are also permitted to bring food into the theme parks as long as the bag check/security guard at the entrance gate is advised. You may also want to confirm the availability of a refrigerator in your guest room for any food items requiring refrigeration. Just like with the restaurants, the idea here is to plan ahead. Call the Disney reservation line at (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 to request additional dining information on participating restaurants and to make special requests.
