Mia Reid

A recent graduate from the University of Central Florida, Mia is an Orlando resident specializing in web content and digital media. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English-Creative Writing and has a diverse work background. During her time as a dedicated student, she interned with Fleet Farming, a non-profit organization in Central Florida specializing in the urban agriculture movement. She wrote blogs for their site and created hand-drawn illustrations to accompany content, including a blog series she spearheaded for Pollinator Week. Mia also interned with The Florida Review (TFR), UCFs very own literary magazine that receives thousands of submissions every year to be reviewed for possible publication. TFR publishes their physical magazine twice a year with the help of their undergraduate interns that read submitted manuscripts, review them, vote on their publication, and then proofread or copyedit selected manuscripts. Besides vegetable gardens and literature, Mia has two years of experience working as an assistant manager at a local dog kennel, where she made hundreds of furry friends while taking on social media marketing for the company, on top of a plethora of other vital responsibilities. Mia currently resides in Maitland, where she enjoys cooking, jogging around Lake Lily, and spending time with her friends and family.
